Favorite Pictures from the Collection: A Selection by Elisabeth Dahler

The collection of the Glarus Art Society, which has grown steadily since the founding of the Society in 1870, now contains over 1000 paintings, sculptures, and graphics. At any given time, only excerpts from this inventory can be displayed on the premises of the Kunsthaus. Last year, the Kunsthaus Glarus launched a series of exhibitions entitled Favorite Pictures from the Collection, which has met with great interest. Starting with the question of how and according to which criteria the relatively small, heterogeneous collection of the Glarus Art Society could be presented regularly and with an interesting variety, the idea evolved to invite culturally interested figures from the canton of Glarus to select their personal favorites from the collection of pictures and to present a subjective view of the collection.

Beginning the 19th of October, visitors interested in the collection will have the opportunity to see the selection by Elisabeth Dahler.
