The exhibition Kunstschaffen Glarus 2023 (M-Z) presents works by local artists and collaborators from the canton. Each year, shortly before the turn of the year, an exhibition opens at the Kunsthaus Glarus with a focus on contemporary local art production.

The Kunsthaus Glarus is an exhibition venue for contemporary art and with its program it marks a relevant position in the international exhibition scene. It is a place for art in society as well as a place of engagement. In this sense, the openly and inclusively formulated conditions of participation of the recurring Kunstschaffen Glarus exhibitions are an important structural feature for this special form of exhibition. The exhibition is not juried and follows a democratic principle. Only the topicality of the respective artistic work, the alphabetical specification of the surname and the "Glarus reference" should be respected. This year everyone, starting with the surname M-Z, was enabled to send their dossier.

There will be several public talks between artists, the team and members of the board of the Glarner Kunstverein during the exhibition. In addition, the Glarus collective "Tunnel" will occupy its own space and develop a concert and performance program, which will be on view during the exhibition.

A public prize, donated by GlarnerSach, will be awarded for the exhibition. The award ceremony will take place on February 2, 2023, 5.30 pm.
